Q4 2020 Dining and Restaurants App Performance in Latin America on Android

As the year 2020 wrapped up, the dining and restaurant app landscape in Latin America saw varied performance across popular Android applications. Here, we provide a snapshot of how five major apps fared in the fourth quarter, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, peaking at around 306K in late November before settling at approximately 187K by the end of December. Weekly active users (WAU) followed a similar pattern, reaching a high near 1.76M in the same November week and then slightly decreasing to 1.52M by year's end.
Burger King Brasil saw its downloads rise to roughly 134K towards the end of November, with a subsequent drop to about 63K by the close of December. WAU showed an increase up to around 650K before a decline to 526K, indicating a spike in user engagement during the quarter that later normalized.
For Habib's, the download numbers surged to over 100K in mid-November, then dipped to just under 53K by the final week of December. The app's WAU saw a peak at approximately 213K in the same buoyant November week, but later decreased to around 160K.
KFC APP - Ec, Co, Cl, Ar y Ve witnessed a steady increase in downloads, with a notable jump to 47K in the week leading up to Christmas. The WAU mirrored this uptrend, reaching over 201K in the pre-Christmas week, showing a heightened interest in the app during the festive season.
Lastly, Burger King® Argentina observed a gradual growth in downloads, peaking at roughly 37K in the final week of November. The WAU followed a somewhat irregular trajectory, with a high near 98K at the end of November, and slightly decreasing to 90K by the end of December.
